Gabrielle was super helpful with training Ozzy, our 10 month old rottweiler! She gave us tips on how to stop counter surfing and keep Ozzy calm and relaxed in the living room while the humans can watch tv or cook dinner! She is very knowledgeable about dog behaviour and shared a lot of tips and games for us to practice during the week and keep training ongoing. Ozzy and I had so much fun during our sessions - Gabrielle definitely helps to strengthen the bond between dog and tutor, through positive reinforcement!

Gabrielle began working in the dog industry in 2016 as a dog daycare attendant at Park 9. During her 6 years, she gained experience working with a variety of dogs of all ages, breeds, backgrounds and behaviour challenges. With a TMU degree in Science focusing on animals & minor in psychology, she became passionate about studying and understanding dog behaviour. She began conducting behavioural assessments of new daycare dogs, & offering private training for clients who were looking for 1:1 guidance through behaviour issues. She has earned an abundance of clients, referrals & found several avenues of working with dogs - from dog sitting long term clients to working as a classroom & private lesson instructor at When Hounds Fly.
Gabrielle is known for her science based & compassionate approach to dog training, and customized training plans that are specific to each client & their dog. The name The Dog Mamaa stems from her reputation of having a gentle, nurturing yet highly effective training approach when working with dogs. She consistently demonstrates that no matter the breed, a kind approach works.
